I have never made a real gingerbread house before. I kind of remember decorating flat graham crackers in grade school with cake frosting and candy to look like s gingerbread house. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll find the time to make a gingerbread house before Christmas, but at least I got to admire this one!
Every Christmas season, the Union lobby is home to a giant Christmas tree and a life-size ginger bread house.
This gingerbread house is large enough for a toddler to walk around inside or even an adult to sit inside.
I can’t imagine how many hours it must have taken to bake this much gingerbread and to decorate it with such intricate detail (see – it’s complete with the dog and cat with their own little gingerbread dog house).
Have you ever made a gingerbread house? Where is your favorite place to admire Christmas decorations?
