Everything but the Kitchen Sink Cookies

This recipe originally came from Oprah, but I like that you can make it your own by choosing a different combination of mix-ins using what’s already in your kitchen.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 egg

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp kosher salt

  • 1 cup of your favorite sweet mix-ins

(butterscotch chips, dark chocolate chips, Andes mints chips)
  • 1 1/2 cups of your favorite salty mix-ins

(pretzel sticks, corn flakes, Cheerios, graham crackers )

1- Preheat oven to 375°F.

2- Blend butter, sugars, vanilla, & egg together in a large bowl with a hand mixer

3- Stir flour, baking powder, baking soda, & salt together in a smaller bowl using a fork

4- Slowly stir dry ingredients into the wet ingredients

5- Fold in the sweet and salty mix-ins, and form dough into golf-ball sized cookies

6- Bake on a greased cookie sheet for  10 – 15 minutes
